Hi! I’m Hayley. A business communication expert and the person behind Gravity Communications.
I started Gravity Communications six years ago after leaving my PR agency role. I realised my skills meant I could strike out on my own and shape the life I wanted. Working with the people and organisations that I really wanted to work with. I haven’t looked back since. I love what I do.
“What exactly is that?” I hear some of you wonder.
The short but sweet of it is, I’m passionate about helping individuals and businesses to communicate with confidence.
Supporting them to communicate clearly and effectively with those who matter most to their business. The people that can influence it, for better or worse.
I help to style their communication. To curate their story and share their story. To engage their audience and create meaningful connections and conversations. To protect their reputation, and generate awareness around their products or services.
I’m a business communication stylist, if you will.
Because clear, well-targeted and authentic communication can support you to achieve your business goals.
So what makes me qualified to do this?
Let’s get the paper work out of the way. I have a bachelor’s degree in PR and media studies and a master’s degree in communication studies with first class honors.
But communication has been the name of my game for the last 15 years, both here and in the UK.
During this time I’ve advised and supported charities, crown entities, private companies, small business, educators and Government organisations. I’ve worked in-house, in-agency and in my own office.
I’ve helped organisations to plan for and manage sensitive issues. Developed behaviour change and stakeholder engagement strategies. I’ve managed website builds, written web content, managed promotional awareness campaigns. Managed media relations, conducted interviews and written articles, case studies, and media releases. I’ve produced newsletters and videos and developed entire suites of promotional resources.
But one thing has been consistent throughout.
I have a passion for supporting people and businesses that are striving to make a positive difference through their work. And I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills to help others learn how to communicate more effectively.
It’s a guiding principle that I hold close to my heart. Along with photography, continuous learning, my family, coffee, and cake!

Six things you won’t know about me:
- I’ve jumped out of a plane twice, but I’m afraid of flying and heights.
- I have five alpacas, a pet lamb, and six hens (named after female Coronation Street characters.)
- I traveled the world on my own.
- I’m a total word nerd and love spotting a good typo when I’m out and about.
- I’ve been diving with Great White Sharks.
- I LOVE a large trim latte with a dose of peace and quiet before I start my day.
